Plum Grove Season
The beautiful season has come to the plum grove this year as well.
Osaka Castle Plum Grove began in March 1974 with 880 plum trees of 22 varieties.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year,with over 1200 plum trees of over 100 varieties in full bloom.
It has become one of Japan`s most famous plum blossom spots.
For about three months starting in mid-December every year,entertaining visitors.
Two new varieties have been added to the plum grove this year.
There are"Aojiku"and"Tamabotan".
