The calyces and fresh leaves of the cherry blossom after falling of the petals.
The petals of the Sakura or cherry blossom have begun to leave from the tree branches , scattering in the wind like petal’s confetti. The petals, as well as the leaves, can be harvested and salted for use in a variety of dishes and a traditional tea called Sakura-cha. They can also be used for dyes. The Sakura is the flower that keeps on giving and the biggest gift is reliability that every year , the trees will bear their blossoms. Another winter has passed, and our souls are filled with hope.
